From the initial concept sketch on a bar napkin to the realization of this project, it has been a fun and pleasant experience. I designed this home for a lovely family and gained two great friends for life, three if we include baby.

With combining a one bedroom and a studio unit. This new layout minimize space wasted as circulation, while maximize access to natural light throughout.

Re-create a sense of arrival with integrated lighting design. Opened up the kitchen to allow for interactions between the host and the guests.

Minimalistic approach to architectural elements. Reduced visual clutter or hardware. Soft and indirect lighting in all sleeping spaces.

Finding symmetry with existing structural elements in the space. Developed consistent lines of light throughout the home.

Balanced composition of lights are integrated within custom millwork design.
​
​
Storage compartments are designed as architectural feature of the home.
